Workshop: Rebuild your relationship with music
Many survivors of cults, high-control groups, and the troubled teen industry, associate music with their experience in high-control environments, leading to complex emotional responses.
This four-session virtual workshop, led by music therapist Dorian Wallace, offers practical tools to help you process these experiences and rediscover music as a positive, empowering part of your life. No prior experience is required.

Session 1: Establishing Safety and Understanding Musical Associations
Objective: Create a safe, trusting environment and explore your current relationship with music.
Activities:
• Guided music listening for relaxation
• Discussion about current musical associations
Session 3: Reframing Negative Musical Associations
Objective: Address and reframe negative musical associations.
Activities:
• Music improvisation
• Reframing exercises
